Many years ago, the amateur radio clubs in the Oklahoma City area started an event that is now known as the “All Ham Dinner.” This dinner allows about 50 hams get together, eat dinner, and communicate with each other. This dinner happens on the third Thursday of January, May, and September at 6:30 pm.
The next All Ham Dinner will be held on January 17, 2019, at 6:30 pm. This dinner will be at the Golden Corral, 1501 SW 74th (North side of the North service road of I-240) in south Oklahoma City. No RSVP is needed, show up, get your meal, and join the fun in their large banquet room.
This meeting is sponsored by the Edmond Amateur Radio Society (EARS) and we thank Mike and Wendy Rockey for making the arrangements for this event.
To spread the load, and fun, of hosting these dinners, the member clubs of CORA take turns with organizing the event. Each club sponsors one about every two years. The hosting club selects the location and makes the arrangments with a restaurant to host the 50 or so people that show up. Also, the host club makes a presentation and then facilitates a round-robin discussion by all of the clubs. Each club presents their recent activities or asks for assistance at a future event.
